i think its completely fine. as long as your friend is comfortable with his girlfriend, and his girlfriend is comfortable with him. it would be different if they had just started going out. or if he had just met her, but if theyve been going out for a while its fine..
if hes going to see them anyway, he might as well like them. =]

They let 16 year olds go into Victoria's secret...I thought it was for adults only, oh well.
Anyways, it depends if the girl like the lingerie. I would get mad if my bf bought me some tacky, ugly looking piece of crap lingerie or underwear...other then that its cool.

A gift certificate would have been better or some perfume. If a guy buys a girl any kind of panties or things like that, we know that the guy expects us to wear it in front of him.....not a comfortable situation for women. Heaven forbid he gets a size too big...

I don't understand. "My friend bought her girlfriend.... That is girl gives girl, but then you imply boy gives girl. What is it? Girls buy girlfriends personal items all the time. Whats the big deal. But...if a 16year old boy buys a 16 year old girl panties, one would have to surmise they are sleeping together, or are about to. If her mother finds out there will probably be fireworks.

Bad idea. Males of 16 should not be buying Females of 16 anything that personal. The male shows a lack of respect for the female, and should the female accept, she shows a lack of respect for herself. Both males and females should have more self-respect, discipline, modesty.

it really depends on the girl and if you are dating. Ive gotten a few gifts like that b4 but those where from my bfs that i was dating for some time. but from guy friends they get me perfumes or gifts card to certain stores or take my out to dinner or flowers.

well, maybe some girls are attracted by this kind of gifts but I dont think that this is the best way to show her you care...I mean, your or your friends' girl would be more sattisfied if you took her somewhere unusuall and new than buying her little gifts...dont you think so?

If you are intimate with her then it is probably appropriate. If this is just a friend that you think is cute, but really are just platonic friends, it probably isn't appropriate.
