no, because you can not be available to be on active duty with both at the same time. Remember that you can also be called to active duty for a year or more at a time. So you pack up your bag, tell your regualar job that you will see them in a year or two ( and hope they will hire you back when you come back) and off you go. Actually it is very likelyyou will be called to active duty if you go into the reserve right now. Our local Army national guard have done two middle east tours in the past few years.

Only if you are two people. The reserves are activated during emergencies, what if your Army and Navy units were both activated at one time. You would be considered a deserter from the branch issuing the activation order that you failed to answer. Then you would be hunted down and imprisoned. Or maybe even executed. Can you imagine being found on a battlefield in Iraq, arrested for desertion from the Navy, then tried and executed for you offense. It probably wouldn't happen, we give amnesty to speeders, illegal aliens, and the Canada Coward group during Viet Nam.

Silliness aside, pick one and stay with it...

So let me get this instantly. you're demanding about looking a job regionally on your field, yet you're considering transforming into a member of the air stress it really is particularly a lot absolute to take you far off from domicile for the subsequent 4 to 6 years. have you ever seen a job search for far off from domicile? you've many thoughts. area of the excuses human beings don't have jobs is they don't prefer to flow and they stay the position the roles are not. no longer some thing adverse to you, yet too many seem to the armed forces to get them a finiancial commence in existence with out searching into what they are quite entering into and kudos for you asking. All that being stated, with a level in IT, you may be chatting with a recruiter about going OTS proper off the bat and skipping enlisted. Or, bypass in the reserves as an officer at the same time as you seem interest hunt (you may be searching for jobs now). That way, you get the finest of both worlds. in case you spot that the air stress is for you, then perchance you may bypass complete lively accountability if the interest hunt isn't panning out on your liking. about the flying, very few human beings in the air stress fly or maybe paintings round planes. some human beings never even see a plane up close in the time of their entire hitch. distinctive the air stress helps the flying challenge. Too many roles to coach are in contact with that. Air site visitors administration is amazingly stressful. there isn't any longer some thing incorrect with going enlisted both, inspite of the actual undeniable truth that there will be a wait with the aid of powerful of human beings enlisting. With a level already in hand, after your first 4 years, you may no longer have any situation going for OTS if no slots are accessible in for you presently. about the faculty loans, i do no longer believe the air stress has a pay off software lke the military does. If it does, that's perchance only for enlisted. if to procure married, your husband is going the position you bypass, except that's an unaccompanied region. You stated state, yet again, you're wondering small. The air stress is international. you would no longer even see america (except on holiday) your complete enlistment or fee. you ought to set up...it really is the armed forces.

Members of special forces like the Navy Seals, Recon Rangers work together all the time. I know that some Navy Seals become employeed by the CIA and are still "on call" for action.

Obviously no! The weekend training is just to keep you r qualified at your job so you are available when they need you. What would happen when both services need a trained person from that slot to deploy & only have one of you. You can request a release, or retrain to a field you might like more, or you can request active duty or TDY assignments that will keep you more occupied.

I love your spunk... You can only be active in one branch of the Military. You can goto another branch once your term is up, but only one at a time.

Absolutely not. It's not like a day job. There are uniforms, ranks structures, and different methodologies to support. You can only be a member of one.

I don't think you can, either. If both of your units are called up at once, which one do you go to? (the military actually thinks about these types of things)
