You would be considered a deserter from the branch issuing the activation order that you failed to answer. Then you would be hunted down and imprisoned. Or maybe even executed. Can you imagine being found on a battlefield in Iraq, arrested for desertion from the Navy, then tried and executed for you offense. It probably wouldn't happen, we give amnesty to speeders, illegal aliens, and the Canada Coward group during Viet Nam.

You can request a release, or retrain to a field you might like more, or you can request active duty or TDY assignments that will keep you more occupied.
