Obviously, my geography isn't stellar but I'm pretty sure my meaning is clear on what I mean by 'Asian'.
I had the impression that the middle Eastern/Egyptian area wasn't even aware of Chinese or Japanese people until after civilization had been around for a while...Going by timetables in which evidence was found of civilizations beginning to exist (5,000 years ago), I got the impression that the Chinese started sending vessles about 3,000 years ago.
