In one of the chapters of the bible I have read, someone (Noah?) had to talk GOD out of wiping out the human race and starting over, because he was angry with the way his creations acted?

Because the bible is FULL of inconsistencies.

GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.

GE 1:11-12, 26-27 Trees were created before man was created.
GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created.

GE 1:20-21, 26-27 Birds were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before birds were created.

GE 1:24-27 Animals were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before animals were created.

GE 1:26-27 Man and woman were created at the same time.
GE 2:7, 21-22 Man was created first, woman sometime later.

GE 1:28 God encourages reproduction.
LE 12:1-8 God requires purification rites following childbirth which, in effect, makes childbirth a sin. (Note: The period for purification following the birth of a daughter is twice that for a son.)

Did anybody think about PROOFREADING the bible first?????

Peter B.
You know as well as anyone that the bible is flawed.
It has also been tampered with by the Catholic Church centuries ago to fit their needs.
You also know that many of the original books have been omitted and/or lost.

How in the world can ANYONE say that a tampered with and incomplete book is ACCURATE??!!??

No need to be a scholar to see through that.

Because of anger; No. God is an all loving God, remember.
It was Moses not Noah. And it was the Hebrews not the human race.

In the first earth age, because of the rebellion by Satan, and he taking 1/3 of the children of God with him, God because He loves us destroyed that age and created the second earth age. He then allowed us to be born of water and enter this age to make a decision whether we would choose Him (GOD) or Satan.

The plan is simple and its all in the WORD.
Give it a good read and then live it.

Noah wasn't the only person in the bible to talk God out of destorying the human race. Moses also talked God out of destorying the Hebrews while they were wandering in the wilderness. God is an all foregiving God but there are times when God loses his patience with man and has to show us just how awesome and powerfull he really is. It's not because He don't love us but it is because he loves us that He has to make us stand at attention and listen to what He has to say.

Take your pick from the following>

The story of noah was a parable, never intended to be taken literally.

God's ways are incomprehensible to humans.

Because God was made up, a fictional "supreme status being", and high status beings have no responsibility for their actions in human society.

God killed them because they were better off dead... thus it was still love and not hate.

God is not an all-loving god, people just tell themselves that because the idea of a bad god is too scarey.

Noah didn't try to talk G-d out of anything. He was just happy he was going to make it. You are thinking of Abraham with Sodom and Gomorrah.

Plus, and I mean no offense here, but you are asking Christians about an event that is described in Torah. Yes I know it is described in the Old Testament also, but for the most part the only thing Christians do with the old Testament is to try and prove the New Testament.

Yeah, that really doesn't make sense does it? Because it never happened. It is a myth created by early church leaders in order to control the masses through fear-based living. And it keeps going on! Don't fall for it...study various beliefs and opinions and come to your own conclusions. After 36 years I finally did and I finally feel liberated enough to enjoy my life! I will live it will the fullest of joy and know that when this physical incarnation is over that I will go to be home with God, regardless of what happened while I was here.

The whole world at that time was not following God's ways which lead to a better harmonious society. There is a point of no return for man. That is he gets so hardened in the way he lives without repentance that future generations would continue to slide, so God puts a stop to the decline in a dramatic way. God gets angry when their seems to be no hope for a return to him

Noah was a righteous man that God found on the earth among the wicked.
God was never going to wipe out mankind completely as in the Garden of Eden years before God made his first prophesy of the coming of Jesus Christ who would come to Earth to save obedient humans from Adamic death. (Genesis 3:15) God spoke of Satan brusing Jesus in the heel, meaning a temporary wound [Jesus resurrected] and Jesus bruising Satan in the head a permanent destruction.
God always keeps his promises and if he destroyed mankind during Noah time then the prophesy in Genesis 3:15 would not of happened. (Titus 1:2)

Genesis 3:15
"And I shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel.”

The bible is always accurate and reliable, the answer is always there. Only ignorance say otherwise. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Sexy Sadie since when did you supercede biblical scholars?
You logic is flawed and immature. [plus copied and pasted from very dubious anti-bible websites]

God is an evil torturer, enjoys inflicting pain, and plans to destroy the world someday. Have you ever considered getting out of Middle Eastern theology? There are many different religious expressions to play around with. They are not all death cults intent upon global conquest, like Christianity or Islam.
