I looked at these answers and I can see that many people are misled. We, who believe that the Bible is true...we are so thankful for the mercy of God. I think it is so easy to not to believe in this sinful world because Jesus asks you to change, repent from your sins...and people cannot cope with that and they trust their own feelings, which are changeable and deceiving. Jesus teaches you the things that world does not teach you.
Just shine for your Lord, girl. You cannot make everybody to believe what you have found in Christ. Even Jesus could not make all people to believe Him with a free will. I love the Lord. I have a eternal life's insurance ( fire insurance ) and it is free for everybody who wants to have it. You just need to accept it before you die.
And for all of those who think that what if there is no God and we have been wasting our love for nothing...we never waste that love, it gives us so much in return...and you who don't want to seek ( Book; Case for Christ by Lee Strobel) the evidence or you do not believe it...you have lot to lose if you are wrong...so what is your plan B.
God is God even if you do not believe Him. But God will knock every body's doors...how can you not hear it...

I can only speak for Americans here. We have a history of rugged individualism Foe some to be a Christian to be a true believers makes a person a wimp.. So they make up excuses I will not believe because of Christian hypocrites. They never think about the late Pope John Paul II the Great, or Billy Graham. These people are stuck on Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Bakker etc. Some say I refuse to believe in God because I am the boss, no one is going to tell me what to do.

Perhaps it because anyone with knowledge of world history older than Jesus would see that he was a myth plagiazied from the legend of Mirtha and the story of Confusius.
Mithra, by the way, was born on December 25, of a virgin. His birth was witnessed by shepherds and magicians [magi]. Mithra raised the dead and healed the sick and cast out demons. He returned to heaven at the spring equinox and before doing so had a last supper with his 12 disciples (representing the 12 signs of the zodiac), eating mizd, a piece of bread marked with a cross (an almost universal symbol of the sun).
Any of that sound familiar? It's the same with Confusius. You've been had.

Because he wasn't the Christ. Christ means Messiah, and the Messiah was supposed to be the liberator of the Jewish people. And since Jesus came, the Jews sure have been liberated for sure. After all, there was only that little known incident about 65 or so years ago.
The Holocaust I think it was called, but again, it's so little known I'm not sure.
That, to me, is a testament to Jesus not being the Christ. He probably was real, he may have been a great teacher, but the Christ? I doubt it. And the son of God? Divine? I REALLY doubt it.

Well, there are a number of contradictions in the Bible including those on his life and how he lived. Many people allow their pastor's to interpret the Bible for them instead of taking the time to read themselves.
You should read the version in it's original language you will find that your church rose tint's a lot in it's delivery.
Jesus did a number of amazing things based on the stories in the Bible, however most people become disillusioned in faith when the reality of life breaks their faith.
It is great that you have faith, however, it sounds like it is time for you to look deeper into your faith. Although I am atheist, I do keep up with reading books of religion and analyze similarity's and difference since religion has had a powerful influence on societies.
Read Langston Hughe's "Salvation" and you will find out a reason many people give up on Christ.

As a women you say mans love fails, which could be only from one not loving you.
Jesus was of a spirit who walked the earth as a human, but was truly not a human in every sense of the word.
The Jews felt that they were right, and God harden their hearts, why. Who knows why, only God knows why he did such a thing.
If you have a question, ask God and you will receive the answer you seek in his time, not your own time. Most people simply do not know how to ask for Gods guidence, it is not taught in churches as it is simply written in the bible. I never understood why preachers did not disclose the techniques to the people in the church how to ask God, then I realized, that if everyone knew, they simply could ask God directly, then they would not need to go to a church.
Gods church is where you are standing on this planet at any moment in time.
Keep your questions simple. Ask direct questions or request of him and they will only come true if you truly beleive in them coming true.

It is a matter of Faith, belief. Once belief is firmly established it is known. You plant a seed in the ground and believe and hope it grows. When you have a tree you know. If the ground is fertile, ready, and open it will grow. If not, it won't. And To the ever present God is the responsibility for the results.

because ther are many people, many religions, many beliefs, many opinions.
I am sure you do love your god and his son. But not everone feels that way. and not everyone is christian, or any demnomination of.
Ask yourself this: If jesus does exist, how would he feel about you asking this question?
Is he not the one who loves all. I am sure he would realize that not everyone believed in him.
Also, would he care? i am sure if there was a son of god (or even a god for that matter), would he go around judging people for having a different belief system. Or if those people ever actually came upon him would he actually look at them and say "you suck. you don't believe in me" Or would he look at them and judge them by the merit of their lives?
