I'm not sure where you could get it for free. But I'm guessing that somebody is trying to sell it on Ebay really cheap. That's what I'd try,

no windows and many microsoft products are not free.
I switched to linux over a year ago it does every same job for free.

Limewire, but it's a rather large download.. You could probably contact microsoft and buy it pretty cheap now, but they no longer have support for it.

Go to http://www.emule.org/, download eMule, install it, connect, search and double click your choice, in a while you will get it...it's not exactly free, but you'll get it anyway....
