isn't it possible that adam and eve were real people who ate forbidden fruit and were descended from apes, that way Jesus is still very important and it accounts for the evidence

"Jesus died for the sins of man, not ape."
I'm saying he died for the descendants of Adam and Adam himself whose ancestors were apes so he wouldnt be dieing for apes he would be dieing for humans

No idea. Evolution and the bible fit perfectly with one another but people want to be their own god so they wont accept creation. Remember God was the first. Before him there were no "days" so a day could mean thousands of years and that would work with evolution.

Why is your question formed as a double negative ? The Christian bible is analogous to reading the Sunday paper: people read the parts they like and mostly ignore the rest. They re-read the parts they like. There has been a famous crack that this could be a good book, but it needs a lot of editing. Well, it was already edited by the early church officials (about 300-400 AD) and by the monk-copyists in the dark ages. Wouldn't you like to have the whole book ? Although it might be repetitive, there would also be other stories. Many folks are happy with only the New Testament, which can be small enough to carry in a pocket.

No, because it talks in Genesis how animals came before man which was created in the likeness of God. Without the six day creation there would be no one to die for. Jesus died for the sins of man, not ape.

The bible clearly states that God created Adam and Eve and no evolution was involved. And the last time I checked, chimps (which has a 99.7% compatibility to our DNA) did not turn human or into any other organism.

Why does there have to be an Adam and Eve story at all? Why couldn't God have started life and let evolution take course? Why does there have to be a God at all? The answer to these is simple, there doesn't.

The Bible says that God created us but it doesn't say how, so i kind of agree with you. I think there is some link between God's creating us and evolution.
