there is no real time limit, just the longer you wait the better they taste, i usually wait at least 24 hours

Only as long as it takes to hardboil and peel the eggs, and then bring the pickling solution to a boil and pour it on.
They do taste better after a couple of days, however.

I made them for my father in law and the receipe called for 4-6 weeks. Good luck. They really smell up the house. Use well ventilated kitchen.
