Hello Kathy! I just read your email and look, here we are! :D Most people astral project..they just don"t realize it. It is consciousness that seperates a "dream" from an o.b.e (out of body experience A.K. A. astral projection.)The idea is to expand consciousness and thus lucidity will occure allowing you to take charge of your "dream".

I am currently assisting a friend of mine to have lucid o.b.es and I'm proud to say that he's doing very well and has had several lucid moments alrerady (he's only been programming for about a week). This is all for my perception, this is what I have found to be true for myself and a few others. The etheric cord attaches to the backside of the heart chakra. It is visible while o.b. This is my/other's exit point for their spirit. A.p is almost the same thing as after death...the difference being, you come back to your body.

Relaxation is key.O.b.es, I have found, are better laying on your back.Lavender, pure aromatherapy oil can assist in relaxation. The method which has worked best for me,my friend and many others, was programming A.K.A. auto-suggestion. I have found that this is the easiest way. All you do is, upon retiring to bed each night, for the remaining time you have before you drif into sleep, you repeat to yourself "I will have a lucid dream". That's it. You don't need to try too hard. Just let the words form. No need to focus excessivly on the words because it is your sunconscious mind that you're programming.

I have found that 5 minutes before sleep is sufficent to obtain results.

Without lucidity, o.b.es are just "dreams". Without the conscious mind guiding your "dream", the subconsciousness takes charge and you're confronted with your fears and insecurities.

Lucidity can occure just as a person is leaving the body. You will feel many sensations..a lightness, dizziness, you may hear the sound of your spirit as it leaves fully. You may also hear things from other dimensions...heck, many hear those things now! :P

These sensations are becasue you are now perceiving with your spirit senses. You can accomplish many things when you a.t. Ypu can conquer fears, research in sacred libraries, go into the "future", go into the "past", visit other dimensions, heal yourself, heal others....the list goes on. It is a life style. Once you have o.b.es, life is never quite the same again. :D

Higher consciousness is a wonderful state of being and everyone should strive for it.

Since you may leave throught the backside of the heart chakra like I do, you can gently rub or scratch your back. This will stimulate the chakra (get it to spin faster). Focus on proper breathing. Learning how to breath properly will come in handy much more than just for o.b.es. Take several full breaths...you don't need to keep doing this, as most are used to it and it will work against relaxation if there is too much focus on the breathing...just several breaths (10) will do it.Make sure the breath isn't too forced.

Breath in through the nose or mouth on a count of 5, hold it for a count of 5, than exhale on a count of 5. As you do this, repeat "I will have a lucid dream." (easier than "I will have an out of body experience." or "I will astral project."

The last one seems short enough however, our consciousness and our subconsciousness understands the word "dream" better. That too, was programmed. If prefered, you can use "I will dream awake." or whichever is easy and very understandable for you to use. If your schedual permits it, you can time your o.b.es. I have a travel alarm clock that wakes my up at 4 AM everyday. It shuts off by itself and it's a quieter model. It does a good job to wake me but not startle me. From there, I program myself. I've already been asleep and have had periods of R.E.M. so it's a good place to be. I've heard that some people just drink a lot of water so their bladders force them to rise. lol.

I hope this is enough info and you, my dear, or anyone else can contact me for more info, specific questions etc. There is a lot to learn about o.b.es. I've had many years of experience with o.b.es and I am able to do all those things I've mentioned above. I've even been on the 11TH dimension...that was difficult. Take care.

P.S. Once you master getting out of body and being lucid, it's a whole other story. Then the fun begins! Use any door to jump dimensions, visit loved ones who've crossed over, visit and work with Ascender Masters (Jesus, Krishna, Kwan Yin) Just contact me for info. Take care! :D

I believe that it is possible, although I have never done it myself. I don't think it's something you can consciously try to do. I understand that meditation can be a conduit to astral projection. I have also heard that we unconsciously astral project often as we sleep, because the soul needs to be free of the confines of the body every so often. I can remember one very vivid dream of flying when I was a child, and I believe that this was actually an astral projection.

Try reading the book listed below for more information.

We all project, all the time. It is a natural property of our existence...mostly, we do not recall them, but they are very common.

I have not projected by "trying", as I know I do it all the time anyway. I did have a vivid dream once of flying out through my feet, and floating above the rafters; it might have been astral projection, but it felt to me to be a dream ABOUT projecting...we are so much more than we are taught to believe.

It's totally possible to do. That part of you that is aware of the world around is separate from your physical form. There's many good books out there. Check your local library for starters and go from there.
