the Bible tells us that God is a spirit, we are created in His image and likeness, therefore we are a spirit (the real us),we have a soul (mind, will, emotions) and we live in a body (the human part).

1)If we accept the axiom that we were made in God's image into our reasoning scheme(implicitly assuming that one God does exist) , then the answer to your first question is no. If we are made in His image, than we would retain the central core of his being, his spirit. Our bodies might differe superficially but, according to our assumption, God is the source of all spirit, so it is a spark of his spiritual flame that we bear, but not his physical attributes. Then we would look as his image only when we look through the human core. If we were able to see auras, and energies(provided again such a thing is assumed to be possible), our higher senses would detect a similarities between our energy and His. Energy is not human, so he is not human but we are still made in his image.
2)We are not a computer problem. While we have in common the spark of divinity that resembles closely His, we do differ according to our superficial features, and they are the ones that determine our life in this superficial world. So, we are at best similar variations of the main computer programs. Different mutations of the original code used to program the universe.
3)If we simulate the universe, in other words create it in the image of our own, then we put into it the spark of our own divinity that stems from God. But we have a smaller spark than the original creation, so our own creation would have a smaller spark. Then since our own creation is smaller than ourselves, the creation of God, we cannot equal him. We would become a lesser god, but not a God. If we were to be Him, we should have been able to equal him in what he does. This is why the answer has to be no, again.
Within the assumptions of the question, this is the only possible answer. Hope it helps. .

I think when they say that we were created in God's image, it means that we're the superior beings over a flock of other life forms, and we're intelligant, with a sophisticated conciousnes. So I don't think it has anything to do with the outer image, it probably has to do with the inner image. But if you believe in evolution, then I guess god is really an ape/man creature that walks around naked with bad teeth and a thick skull. I mean, that's pretty much where we started, right? For all we know, God may look ridiculous to us, because we assume that he looks like a person, when in actuallity he could be a three armed, buck-teethed, spike tailed, and ugly creature that looks nothing like us, but looks silly. But then again, if we think God looks wierd, imagine how wierd we look to him. We could be the laughing stock of the entire heavens. We have no fur, no tail, we walk on awkwardly weak two legs, we have no major physical defense....in other words, we're downright goofy.

Maybe his image does look similar to that of a human (what's wrong with that?) but he can change into whatever image he chooses (I believe). I think it means that we have the ability to create as God has the ability to create. Only nothing we create will be as powerful as his creations.

We are created in the image of God in that we have a Spirit that will continue to live forever just as God will live forever.

Nothing else that God created was made after his image in that nothing else has a Spirit that lives forever.

God isn't human. He created humans making us different from each other. Can humans create other humans using mud or the rib of a man??? We are NOT some cmputer program. How can we stimulate the universe when we don't even know everything about it. Only God knows. God knows everything.

If God is black, why did he create white people? If God is black, why did he let Hurricane Katrina wipe out a predominantly black section of New Orleans, or let the Tsunami of 2005 wipe out so many of the dark skinned people of south east Asia? If God is black, why did he allow slavery? Why, especially, is Africa not a Holy Nation like Israel if the human race originated there? Why does God let black people have shorter life spans, and why does he allow the justice system (U.S.) to be unfairly stacked against blacks? Why does he allow pro-black organizations to be crushed by institutionalized racism? Why does he even allow racism? Why are there different races?

God is not human. Image in this case does not mean appearance. It deals with the idea that we have morals, feelings, and wisdom.
