effect will the have towards illegal immigration by Mexicans to the U.S, most importantly, what needs to be done to Mexicos Infrastucture that will stop people from migrating to the U.S, I read that candidate Felipe Calderon wants to make the Judicial System like that of the U.S, while Lopez Obrador wants more Mexicans to go to college, will any of the 2 work in the next six years, and what will they accomplish if any towards illegal immigration.

Read before you answer, its a multiple question, so I need multiple answers from smart people. My question has nothing to do with our immigration problem, read it before you answer it ok.

No one man (or women) can change the corruption in one term. Also, since US illegal immigration is not an issue that they would have to deal with considering they are not the US.

Many people is in favor of Lopez Obrador and I think he will be the one winning the elections this July 2. Unfortunately, I don't believe in any of the candidates that are running for president this year. All of them have been linked to acts of corruption. However, the two most popular candidates, Lopez Obrador and Felipe Calderon, have very different points of view towards the United States. Felipe Calderon knows that Mexico's economic stability depends on the U. S. While Lopez Obrador thinks that being independent from the U.S. will bring us more economic stability. I have problems picturing who is better, Lopez Obrador or Felipe Calderon. One thing is for sure, Mexico has no chances to becoming a better country if our population keeps having one of the lowest literacy rates and lowest education levels. Education is the base for the success of their people and the countries they live in.

Well, I don't know who the next President will be. I understand that the polls are very close. I guess if Obrador or Calderon either one made Mexico a country with more opportunities for the citizens there, it might reduce flight to our country. It couldn't hurt.

However, I also understand that Obrador is very anti-US, although he has not been harping on that in this campaign. I could see where issues might be exacerbated between our countries if he were elected. If he pushed hard for immigration, as some have suggested he might, I think it might cause a huge anti-illegal immigrant backlash taking in a much larger percent of our population than the current backlash does.

I think that would impact illegal immigration, and any other kind of immigration.

I can't answer that righteously. All I can say.....without more details (oh and I will check into it......questions that intrigue me....always make me dwelve into the subject)......is education is the key. I have said it before.....I will say it again.....and will say again and again.

So if I was to choose........I would choose self sufficiency through education WITH a little common sense concerning the judicial arena from the US. It is not going to be a quick fix......but I see GREAT things for Mexico.

I have always saw the potential and was astounded by the misunderstanding. I think if they have a strong leader.....ALOT of great and hardworking Mexican people will say "lets stay......lets see what is going to happen."

Just my thoughts though and I am usually the "ugly girl in the corner" when it comes to this subject. But I can promise you.....I will check out BOTH candidates and be smarter for it! Thanks for a good question!

Peace

klfopatta has some knowledge.

I prefer the one who wants to work on self efficiency.

Yes they need Teachers to help-why we can't make an agreement there -I do not know. Some would go if it would pay them. and it doesn't have to be elaborate. Mother Teresa taught many villages many things yo help them survive in poor circumstances. And many who she has taught have done very well and now travel to other places

sorry kleopattra (spelling)

peewee herman or bozo the clown. the country is a joke.

mexico is a very corrupt country. it does not matter who becomes the president of that country. nothing will change, it will remain corrupt forever. you know why? if they want to see it improve, it would have to start with the people but it is in their blood to be corrupt therefore that would be an impossibility.
