Where to begin? Well I heard a family talk about their son that was over in Iraq and he got killed. They said that he didn't understand why he was over there. That to me tell me a lot about our government. If I am going to fight for my country, please tell me what I'm fighting about and for. I understand that this war is costing us a lot of money, but was it the best choice. I think we really need to evaluate somethings. Here we have our brave soldiers in a country in a war that most of them don't know why they aer fighting. Am I the only that see something is wrong with that.
People, America is in big trouble, and they don't see it at all. We need to come to gether on some issues and UNITE as One.
Ok that probably will never happen, but it sounded good.

The idea that we are at war with a word. The war on "terror" cannot be won because it is a word. An idea. Freedom is an idea as well.
If we are going to play world police, why have we not stopped the atrocities in Africa? There are far worse leaders than Sadaam. Hmmm maybe because there is no oil in Africa.

People who just can't get over it. Hussein needed to go he killed a million people in the war with Iran, he killed who knows how many people in Kuwait then caused an environmental nightmare by setting the oil wells on fire and dumping oil into the gulf, he was going to go after Saudi Arabia, he gassed his own people and the Iranians, he tortured and killed who knows how many thousands of his own people. He had WMD's we know he did, he used them !!,more then once, I think he knew we were coming after him and he shipped them someplace, but even if he didn't if we left him alone he for damn sure would have went after them again. We are in a war on terror and the first rule of war is(know your enemy), which unfortunatly many people in the west don't
they have to wait until something happens first and then run around trying to figure out what to do about it

The fact that the country overwhelmingly supported the idea to begin with but then turned 180 degrees against it and now want to withdraw immediately, creating a greater mess than we began with.
While the war may be wrong, that's just downright amoral.

the idea that we were lied to get there, not about the wmd because we did think that we knew where they were(we gave them to saddam a long time ago)
But because we were told that it was part of the war on terror, as revenge for the lives lost but the iraqii people who are now dying(and more importantly the US, and other soldiers) had nothing to do with terrorism until after we invaded thier country and thier religion and thier personal lives.

That Americans and Europeans are dying in the thousands for people who hate us. That's number one.
Number 2...that people think this war is about party politics, loyalties to our troops, or any other divisive thinking.
I do not want our government to continue to spend hundreds of billions on a foreign war for people who declared war against us. We don't have the money.
Our soldiers are PEOPLE not human sacrifices in the name of politics, oil, or whatever else crazy cause you want to take up.
I admire people who serve in our military and have taken up the cause of those here at home because of the low pay and poor living conditions they have to endure. The biggest offense is against our troops...sending them to a foreign war that doesn't benefit them or their families. That is not what American military service is about.
We have had had least one person per generation of my family serving in the military. Being against the war is NOT being against the troops! Just the opposite.

The fact that some politicians would like to see failure and eath for more Americans so they can capitalize on it. If it werent so they wouldnt be so admant about it. Do you really think they care about how many soldiers die? Yeah right they only care if they win another election and get the free stuff.

That so many of the people responding to this question and other questions like this would obviously rather be fighting the war on terror in the streets of U.S. cities than overseas.
