good metabolism, good diet, good genes, there are plenty of reasons, and it's not an abnormality. Just because the majority of people in american society are overweight and obese does not mean that this is normal. Calling fit people abnormal will destroy the health of this country faster than fast food did.

Because their parents were fit too.
They also make efforts...
We're far from being all equal in front of "nature", but I do believe that EVERYONE can be attractive.They just have to make efforts: try not to put on weight, healthy diet, buy nice clothes and a little bit of sport and if they have a big smile then...(the best beauty cream!)

Genetics. People have different metabolic rates. People with higher metabolisms burn more calories throughout the day even if they are not active. These people can exercise less than others and still stay fit easily... they can eat more too.

The metabolic rate answer is spot on. If you burn more calories than you consume then you will not gain weight. Its all pure maths :).
