My 5 month old and I (25) will be relocating to New Orleans were I have a job.If I can't find a job in Houston in the medical field Im a surgical tech. But I dont want to go back now I cant afford it .Rent is too high and no space is open for him in nursey and its too much. So Im able to go somewhere else but not sure were. Im open for tips.

I would not take my 5 month old to New Orleans with all the BAD water there you are nuts.

Not the NY metropolitan area (including parts of NJ, Conn, etc.) Rents very high and good child care is very expensive.
Many folks live in Penn. and work in NJ. Eastern Penn. is a really nice place to live.

PA is pretty reasonable and if you can handle all the loonies Ohio is ok too
