Two different cars. If you don't mind the ride of a wrangler and some inconvince when hauling around friends or cargo. If you plan to do some serious off roading, and mpg doesn't affect your decision too much, then by all means get the Wrangler, automatic, in a 6 cyl. Stay away from the 4 cyl. unless you have a relative that lives in Canada that would be willing to help you get one of the 2007 Turbo Diesel Wranglers. Than jump on that oil burner. If you are looking for something with a little better ride, a little more refined for living in the city and with interior space than get the Liberty. I chose the liberty over the escape when I was shopping. Any other questions, just drop me a line.

I love Jeep wranglers and the new one is a lot larger.....if you like the top down you can take it of....the liberty has more space ....and you can't take the top of......so its more about your lifestyle

I would buy a used well maintianed one. Get verification of maintenence if possible. Have a trusted mechanic check it out for you. Which one depends on what size you need and what you can afford. I would do liberty, its smaller and better on gas.
