what is labeled the morning after pill is taken by someone of course the morning after unprotected sex or at the earliest time after possible. if the sperm has reached the egg already it will not affect the pregnancy. a person would still be pregnant. if the sperm has not reached the egg it would create a barrier so that the sperm would not penetrate the egg. so nothing is actually killed or aborted, it is at most prevented. which if it's meant to be, it will be...I don't know the catholic view point if any against birth control..

Not Catholic but I do believe that goes against their teachings, they are being hypocrites. They think they are taking care of patients though and it is right. I don't, because I think that the people should keep their pants on. Yeah if it was a case of rape or incest(which to me is rape in those cases) I could see doing something. On the other hand most of these cases are what it is. They write it off as treating the person, which they should do. The problem to me is that you are encouraging the person to get "sick" since you are treating something that is THAT preventable.

Because there was no overpopulation when the Bible was written. Society has to change with the times. Let's be realistic, we're not going to stop kids from having sex. If the only people who had children were married couples who were capable of raising educated children with strong moral values, wouldn't the world be a better place? If we as a society do not practice, encourage and educate birth control, we'll be stuck with Welfare mothers and teen-age pregnancy forever.

I don't know, but the Catholic Church needs to re-examine their doctrine and stand firm in their beliefs.
