What do you do when one of your family member is/was an illegal? I could not allow myself to turn my back to them. Please! I love the USA but family is family.
P.S: Your posts bother me. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjTIu7xafN6ffIFbDrTexa_sy6IX?qid=20060616085947AAQnfzd
Who says that? Do you honestly think that Cubans can't be illegals? Well they can. I am ashamed for you. Of all people YOU should know how bad it is in other places. Cuba? Yeah, many people have even died trying to escape the horrors like Fidel Castro - dictator of Cuba. Do you feel proud of yourself when saying "Build enough prisons to hold them and incarcerate them. When their time is up: deprt them." "NAH! HANG 'EM HIGH! - Your idea seems the most logical."
You are a disgrace.

Tryin to support their families and have an oppurtunity to live a successfull life is breaking the law? I guess it is to Bush. Let me guess, you're republican too? I'm Cuban and I know how cubans think. My father is one those Cubans, I dont agree with hiim or you. These immigrants come here to provide for their families just as you do. Are they really hurting our economy? What about the enormous amount of money that has been spent on the war, immigrant defense, or Mars?? You should be ashamed to call yourself a Latino. You should know the struggles of being Latino in this country. So how did you come to this country??

i am hispanic also, but i was born here in the us. i disagree with you. i believe that if hispanics come here to make a better life for themselves then as long as they are abiding by the laws then they should be allowed to stay. i look at all the people i know who do nothing but work and support their families. they should at least have a fair chance. i also think about all the children who will be without fathers and mothers if that happens. deporting 11 million people some of which have been here 15 or 20 years is not the answer. i do believe something should be done to protect our country from terrorists but if you think that will solve the problem you are wrong. most hispanics i know do have pride for their country but they also love the united states and are proud to live here and are proud to call this home. i for one am aginst hr-4277 and i hope our government can come up with a bill that will at least give everyone a fair shake. also how come it's only about hispanics? i believe if they are going to pass a bill it should cover everyone. there are hispanics asians arabs russians ....etc. we should be fair to all not singling out 1 race. this is just my opinion!

I no quite a few Mexican Americans that came here legally and they are up set about giving amnesty also, because they had to do it the legal way, it's not fair for the ones that are waiting to come here legally. but most Mexicans just don't understand that they just want to colonize this country for Mexico. LaReconquista organized their protest at the border, telling them to get as many Mexicans as possible into the U.S. If I wanted to live in Mexico I would go their, I don't want to see our country turned into Mexico. And the ones that do come here don't respect this country as a sovereign nation, they want us to change for them, and accommodate their needs. They are the worst immigrants that have ever come here. To me that is racists to expect a country to change just for a certain immigrant, what makes them think they are better than the other immigrants that have come before them, they would still rather fly the Mexican flag than ours, that's treason and disrespectful.

I'd say if that was in your heart, you are a fellow American that understands that our resources are not unlimited.
I do understand that Cubans in Miami had also tried to colonize for Cuba, and if we can keep that in our past we can stand for America First together under one flag, one soverngty, one common language, and one and I mean only 1 Contsitution.
I am glad that you recognize that they want us to set aside our Constitution that makes us citizens all equal, and accomodate them to be more equal than us.
Yo, Damet: America isn't the only country in the world, and Mexico isn't poor by any standards - they are the 13th richest our of 180. This is nothing more than the will of another sovereign nation having sovereignty over us, another sovereign nation. This isn't a Feed the Children issue.
Dori and all the others: If they want to come and stay, they can legally, why would i get shot for illegally entering you4 country, even if I had a bazillion dollars to invest???
This isn't about hate. This is about one country forcing it's will of the people on another country.
They don't ask - they take was is not theirs and demand we give it to them - that's childish!!
KABOOM: KEEP SAYING MEXICANS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN AMERICANS IN THIS COUNTRY YOU LOST THE RIGHT TO REPRESENT YOUR CAUSE.
MEXICO HAS THE SWORN DUTY OF MAKING IT'S CITIZENS HAVE A BETTER LIFE, WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THEIR SOLUTION TO THROW THEM ALL UP HERE?
WHO GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO SAY AN ILLEGAL HAS MORE OF A RIGHT THAN AN AMERICAN TO GET A JOB BY SETTING ASIDE OUR CONSTITUTION SO YOU CAN HAVE A BETTER LIFE!
You people are the inspiration that keeps me fighting harder and harder against you.
IF YOU DON'T RESPECT OUR LAWS, DO THE SAME THING YOU WOULD DO TO ME IN MEXICO!!!

I support the so called "amnesty" for undocumented workers. Even though I came legally from Mexico, I think the undocumented workers need an opportunity to have a better life. Especially because they work very hard to support their families.

me too but people that are against legalizing them say horrible things about illegals, specifically Mexicans since they think every single illegal ever is from Mexico. sooo, I feel completely alienated by them bcuz my family is from Mexico and if this is just going to be a huge race/ethnicity thing then I am for amnesty.
p.s. they say horrible things about Mexicans like yahoo sux does by calling us sick animals

If you are from Cuba then you are being hypocritical. Cubans are let into the country because of their government, but Mexicans cannot, if they come, they are illegal. If you, or your relatives got a chance, why shouldnt they????????!
