According to Jewish beliefs, beliefs that predate Christ, Moses received revalation from God that was to be transmitted in two forms, in writing and orally. The written portion is often called by Christians the Pentatuech. Both are called the Torah by the Jewish people or more properly the Torah she-bi-khtav for the pentateuch and the Torah she-be'al-peh for the Mishnah which was lost to Christianity. It was replaced in Christianity by what early Christians called Apostolic Tradition and is equally authoritative with the Tanakh along with other elements of the oral Jewish tradition in the Jewish religion and so could seem missing from Christianity. Ironically, Apostolic Tradition was dropped by Luther because it contradicted him. It was the part of the apostolic message that was not included in the written New Testament, not because it was wrong, but because no one realized anyone would change the rules to require inclusion in the canon as the standard of truth. Locating things in writing in a single place seems important to people for some reason.

Lillith appears in only one place in passing in the written scriptures, in Isaiah 34:14. It is uncommon for Lillith's name to appear in translation but rather a substitution tends to appear. The King James Version substitutes "screech owl" for Lillith, for example. Otherwise, you need to parse the Talmud for references to her. Without the Talmud, the Isaiah passage makes no sense.

If you believe in scripture alone, then you will not find any meaningful reference to scripture, but if you believe the beliefs Jesus would have held that Moses transmitted the law both in writing and in memorized stories, then maybe you should review the parts of Judaism Christianity dropped.

Lilith is not in the current bible. Before the current bible was cannonized, there were different versions of some of the stories, including one story in which Adam had a first wife who refused to obey him and was cast out of the garden of Eden. Some people use Lilith as a symbol for feminism because she was an independent woman who chose to be free rather than be a servant to a man.

You have to go into the Jewish Gnostic books, which are basically the books that didn't quite make it into the Bible. A pretty interesting read if you have the time, or, like me, you can just read a summarization of each one. I believe Lilith was the first mate of Adam, but she was banished to Hell or something like that and became a demon(ess) and might have been Satan's wife, but I can't remember for sure.

More I read on YA the more I stand amazed.........

How can she be Adam's wife if Eve was created using Adam and God calls HER the Mother of all living.

This would not go too well as a second wife and we know Eve was first.

Remember "truth", not what it IS, but what it isn't. It becomes a "lie." We all know who is the liar and Father of all liars. Then we're left with Father of all truth.

Lilith is a particular Lilitu demon spoken of in Babylonian texts. Lilith was a minor owl demon associated with sickness of mothers and death of infants. Lilitu translates as wind moon and refers to the owl and spirit nature of that class of demon.

some made of name. Adam only had one wife and her name was Eve. no one else. I really don't know why or where that name came from. it is not true. Jehovah God took the rib from Adam and made Eve and she became his wife. so it is not in the bible because it is not true

Lilith is my son's girlfriend in Sims2, she's a redhead and her last name is Pleasant, so i don't know how she would ever be related to Adam.
