Loosen her up. Take her to do something crazy.
not bungie jumping or anything like that, but show her how to have fun.
What do you mean she wont let you meet anyone? As in meet new people for friends? Or romanticaly?

What does her being shy have to do with your meeting other people unless you're attached at the hip. Surely you have some time to yourself to meet and talk with other guys, at least.
If she's that "shy", she has some serious issues and unless you want to take her to raise, I'd tell her it was nice, but there's a world out there you'd like to explore, and you'd like partner to help you do it, not hold you back.

She is protective. I know how this is. I'm the worst. It is hard for a girl to watch her boyfriend have fun with a bunch of other people. She loves you and wants to know if you love her too. She wants to know if you'd give that up for her. If youre not up for a close relationship or you can't see yourself being with her for a long time, you should tell her.

Shy? Or insecure? Either way she sounds controlling. Let her know that she can't control you. You are her boyfriend, not her pet.
She will just have to get used to you socializing with others or she will have to go away cause that's not a heathly relationship.
