if God has a plan for all of us then why when someone does something bad its the work of the devil?

also some of the answers talk about free will. How can you be planned out if your free to do whatever

Because the devil of the Bible is the devil of YHVH. God, being Holy and pure is unwilling to participate directly in the sinful affairs of man, but He always has a willing agent to do His dirty work for Him. And Satan is more than ready, willing and able to serve YHVH is this capacity and has untold numbers of eager, skillful and evil angels, demons, principalities, powers to assist him in his nefarious errands from YHVH. Read the Bible, it is filled with examples of this spiritual hierarchy which YHVH freely uses to judge, conform, chasten the sons of men; both races of man, those still in Adam and those In Christ.

Because people don't want to say God plans for the evil in the world even though that seems the obvious answer to me. God is supposedly infalible, which means he can never be wrong, so he can't do things that are wrong or evil. Therefore, all the evil things that happen have to be caused by something else, or so goes their reasoning I suppose.

God and Evil are inverted twins. Is like the Yim-Yam or positive and negative poles of the same battery. Anyway God and Evil doesn't exist as described on Christians books. Good or bad things can't stand alone they need each other. Order in the Universe can't be possible without entropy.

I don't think its the work of the devil--- that makes no sense---
you are the one who makes a choice to make a bad decision- its not the devil that's making you do it--
God has a plan- well he has planned out events-- goals and destinations in our life-- but we are the one to make the journey and open the right doors--
so no work is of the devil-- it is you--

Free will and determinism
Imagine god is a elder and you are a 2 yr old. you are both sitting at a table with a cookie on a plate. the elder says don't eat that cookie it was made out of rat poison. As a 2 yr old what do you do? As an Elder he may know the 2 yr old is going to eat the cookie, but does not force the 2 yr old to.

The concepts of good and evil are morality judgments and are purely human constructs designed to control the masses through fear-based lives.
Satan or demons were created by early humanity to explain away such things as famines, disease, death, pestilence and natural disasters until science evolved enough to explain these events.
God is all-loving and living a life of joy and gratitude, living a love-based life, even (especially?) when horrid things happen, is the best thing you can do to celebrate God and the life God gave us.

Ok the devil can influence someone to do evil but that certain person is the one to commit the act.. Satan did not do it... They did... simple eh...
