B+W is the best brand.
But Tiffen could be enough and at a better price. Try the Tiffen Essentials Filter Kit, it comes with an UV, circular polarizer, an Enhancing filter and a filter pouch.
Since your camera is AF, you have to buy a circular polarizer, and, for the best, I hope your lens has "IF", internal focusing, otherwise, every time you focus, your polarizer effect changes, and viceversa.
B&H is a good store.

B+W are the best as mentioned, but they come at a price premium.
Alternatively, Hoya filters are pretty ok too, especially if you get the multi-coated series.
One other brand you can consider is Cokin (www.cokin.fr). They make filters which fit on a holder. You then buy an adaptor ring to fit onto whichever size filter you need. In this case, you can re-use your filters on any other lens with any filter ring size by simply buying the correct filter ring.

I swear by B+W filters with multi-resistant coatings. They are the very best. A 58mm polarizer (various types) will set you back around $95.
