is there any other program out there besides google earth with better resolution?

You could try NASA's WorldWind, but the resoloution is not very good at all. They also have pics of the moon and Mars (I think).

if you want a better resolution, you can pay for the google earth pro. it also alows you to create flybys.
i think the program is pretty unique, although multimap allows a sattelite image overlay

Not sure if it's better resolution tho, but it's an alternative that's been around longer.

try out Nasa World Wind by Nasa, its like google earth. I prefer it more than google.
