Yes, it is bad. Write your feelings out and then rip it up.. Don't send the sarcastic Father's Day card, it will only hurt you in the end..

Your 47 now, you should be over the petty problems your mom and dad had in the past. He is your father, what ever the situation everyone deserves to have a second chance from anyone and everyone. If you have a grudge against your father, thats your perogative, buy the only way your going to have peace with it is to forgive. He is there for you, and now he has cancer. My mom died from cancer, and not a day goes by thinking if I make her proud, wish i could've told her this told her that. Your father has cancer now, your 47 years old, don't you think its time for you to grow up?

A dead beat dad doesn't deserve a card. Go ahead and send one to grandpa. I have 5 dead beats in my family. 4 nephews and 1 son n law.

not knowing the circumstances that makes you want to send the card its hard to say. odds are you need to get this out.
what you need to think about is this.
1. is this going to make things worse?
2. if it does can you deal with that?
what ever you decide good luck.

Sounds like you have nothing to loose. Sleep on it and if you still want to mail it tomorrow then do so. What's the worst that could happen? He'll be mad and won't speak to you? No change there!

send a 'sympathy' card or a 'get well' card instead. A 'get well' ard for fathers day should communicate lots.

Why don't you just forget the stress and just let it go, and just do nothing? Get on with your own life and do your best to just let it go.
