All depends on the problem, and what you're looking for be it a relationship or a friendship... if the problem is to do with a past relationship and you're looking for a another relationship... then I think most blokes, who were looking for something similar, may think it not a good idea to get involved with someone not over their previous man... like I said, it all depends on the problem... personally if I was attracted to this woman and we got on and had genuine feelings for each other then I'd want to be there for them no matter what... goes for both relationship and friendship....

Men are "fixers"; when presented with a problem, we want to fix it. Women are "sharers"; sharing a problem is more the woman's goal than fixing it. When women share their problem with a man, the man wants to present a solution. If the nature of the problem is such that it has no real solution or if the woman rejects the solution because she just wanted to share rather that fix, then the man gets frustrated and the woman is disappointed because he "just doesn't understand". This disconnect leads to friction in the relationship - or may prevent the relationship from getting off the ground.

I wouldn't, but some guys are just crazy like that. If a woman is having issues w/ something, they tend to be very emotional and sometimes want the man to get involved, which can drag us down (read: interfere with what we want to do).
