Your puffiness might be caused by allergies or sinus problems. (These can be the cause of dark circles as well.)
I've read that placing cold teabags on the eyes is helpful. The coldness helps (hence people also use cucumber slices or those little gel packs that you can keep in the freezer, or cold spoons). The caffeine in teabags is supposed to constrict the blood vessels, thus decreasing the amount of fluid retention.

Hey, check out answer #6 to the question "concealer help????" asked by inz dos. The question was asked about 3 weeks ago and in under the MAKEUP category. My answer is way long,but I too suffer from puffiness and dark circles and I included EVERY single remedy that ever worked for me.

in case you'll attempt cucumber, be effective you remove all of your eye makeup first. i tried this once and it burnt so undesirable I cried....i have alsotried the Prep H, sounds gross, yet they do promote a stick lower than eye, that has a similar ingrediant as prep H, nevertheless did not see any reliable in it. Ice or chilly p.c.. looks to paintings the most appropriate.

Drink lots and lots of water. Trust me, it works. Also, cold cucumber slices really seem to calm the eye area.

take a cucumber two slices put them on your eyes for 30 mintues, if that don't work go to the doctor

double up a washcloth, or a small towel and soak it in cold water, then put it on you'r face for about five minutes, they should start to go away. repeat until they are gone!
