For sanitary reasons an area of the scalp might be shaved prior to brain surgery. In addition, Some treatments cause hair loss which can be complete, or partial. Hair that is lost as a result of chemotherapy usually grows back. Hair that is lost as a result of radiation often does not grow back, or is much finer and more sparse if it does grow back. Some cancer patients elect to shave their heads instead of dealing with the "shedding" that occurs. When my hair started falling out as a result of radiation to the brain, I pulled it out. It came out only from the area that was treated.

Unless they're actually having surgery on the skull, there's usually no medical reason to have the head shaved.

The chemicals used for chemotherapy often cause people to lose some or all of their hair. Those whose hair has thinned out a lot may choose to shave their hair instead of having very thin, stringy hair.

as well the actual undeniable truth that your hair comes out in clumps at the same time as present procedure chemotherapy, and shaving it makes it seem better appropriate, my pal had a thoroughly remarkable reason behind shaving her head!! She stated once you've maximum cancers, you lose distinctive administration of issues that are taking position on your existence. She stated shaving her head in the previous she began chemotherapy, gave her administration of at the same time as she would lose her hair somewhat than watch for it to ensue in an quite unflattering way.

normally they dont the people your are thinking of get treatment for the cancer called kemo theraphy or radio theraphy,
it is the treatment to kill the cancer cells in the body that unfortunately kills the good cells as well ,resulting in things such as hair loss
most peoples hair grow back in once the treatment stops
its very important not to treat these people any different than anyone else as they are already down and the last thing they need is a hard time from anyone else.
hope this helps

Its not like its a fashion statment or anything, it becasue chemo kills all the fast reproducing cells and your hair is one of them. Its just easier to shave your head then to wake up in the morning with a huge clump of hair laying next to you. But when it comes back in it is thicker and curlier.

they dont shave your head unless you have cancer on the brain and they do that particular surgery. the radiation/chemo therapy is what makes your hair fall out.

They don't shave your head, but the hair goes wispy and falls out from the chemo/radiation.

Certain kinds of chemo cause it to fall out on it's own because although chemo kills cancer cells it also kills the good ones which causes hair loss. I know because I survived chemo and cancer twice.
