I know someone who married their ex-spouse. They have been together for over 15 years now. I guess it can work. Most likely if you haven't solved the issues that made him/her an ex the first time they are going to become an ex a second time.

I have gotten back with many exes and it never did work. And the problem was that each time we made the same damned mistakes that we did the previous time. I think it depends on the way that u guys broke up really that makes it work again or not. But most times it does not work

Yes my ex-wife moved in quite a long time ago and we've gotten very close again. The problem with a situation like this is that the past always seems to rest in the back of your mind. These relationships seem to require much more work and are generally much harder to deal with. I suppose if you don't live in the past and see your significant other as they are now and make it clear to each other that, "you are who you are and accept it or move on", you should be fine. Odds are however that most couples don't want to put in the extra work in a relationship so more tend to fail than succeed.
