my husband is in the Air Force for that and he really likes the Air Force because we stay put, we don't have to leave all the time we stay on a base we don't go off on a boat all the time (which my daughter and I could not go anyway) and the Air Force is better for families anyway. There is also more kinds of planes to work on as well there are the fighters and the heavies(cargo) then there are the Intel planes so there I think are allot more options, but I am not sure about the Navy.

Air Force will take much better care of you & you'd hate living on a ship, even a carrier. You can potentially work on aircraft in the air force that are much more like what you might see in the civilian world. There's pros & cons to each, but you'll like the AF much more.

I don't like being on the ocean even in large ships, so Air Force. But both offer great training and get experience.

** it is a great job and have some real opportunities in the civilian world latter
