It has been said that because we teach children in schools that the universe is a result of an accident that they are not accountable for their actions that they end up doing bad things. For example columbine. So my question is, is it because of evolution being taught that those kids became bad kids?

Did kids ever become bad kids before Charles Darwin was alive?

Is it only in a post evolution age that people are sinners?

Golly No!

All kids were straight A's students and God Fearing future soldiers fighting for truth, justice and the American way.

Well I think that the way evolution is taught provides a grand level of ignorance to our new generation. As a scientist, I am appalled at the things said about evolution, which science has just not proven yet. These children come to believe that the theory has no weak points and is law. However, in the science community we recognize the holes of the theory and that it is not completely true how we have defined it.

Unfortunately, this prompts children to completely misunderstand what science can and cannot do. It cannot prove nor disprove Creationism theories and that is why ID is not a science. But the children should be taught this. They should know why Creationism is not a science. Because as is they are learning the science refutes Creationism and this plays out as a gross misconception of what science can inherently prove.

Futhermore, Darwin as he proposed evolution is in many ways different from the theory we hold to today. More and more it does not seem that atheists want God out of the public schools but they just want God to be named Darwin. Infallible in all areas of life. irony, anyone?

There is an urban legend, that claims Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley, and Jimmy Swaggart are cousins. The went to the same school, the same church, and all sing.

For a long time, it looked liked Jimmy believed the Bible literally. Now it seems, he was a hypocrite, and Jerry Lee was at least more honest, if not righteous. And these words may be prophetic;

You broke my will! Oh what a thrill! Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls of Fire....! ! !

God is mysterious.

I think it's more to do with socety it self, rather than todays knowlege, as the way we behave is a greater influence than the scientific facts.
before charles darwin was around there was still murders, theft and genreal bad kids and adults. in fact more so. yet as we discovered science is the reason life rather than god we devoloped laws and other acceptable social behavour. so science has nothing to do with the way are. I would say media, peer preasure and more lenient child centered familes is more of a reason!

For places which are very civilized like the United States or Europe, the answer is yes. The main reason is that these societies were heavily influenced by the christian ethic. In some other cultures there has always been lawlessness.

Are you saying that a theory of life's origin is the cause of sin and bad kids? A theory? If there was no sin before the evolution theory, then there would be no 10 Commandments.

some kids have and will go bad. it's the bad that make the bad. teaching evolution in school or anywhere for that matter makes a child go bad. some people are naturally bad, but that's no excuse. the bad must be punished. whither they were born or made bad, it doesn't matter. a crime is a crime, and a crime should be punished.

I believe that we have natural instincts that enable us to cope in this world. These instincts led us to self destruction whether we believe in religion or not. They are inherent in our being. For me to get "over" these "bad" qualities, the ones that will inevitably get me in trouble, I need God. I, for myself, can not differentiate what is good in my character. There are bad qualities that I perceive to be good until I get into trouble and find they are not. I, due to not perceiving my wrongs to be wrong, will not hold myself accountable. I need His Gift of Discernment. Peace and Love
