Wanted to make someone else so happy that nothin else seems important at that time ??

yup....when everything that used to matter, don't matter no more, your job, friends, money, and sometimes even your personal happiness are a second to how good it makes you feel to be with and to make that person happy....

Yes. I know this girl from the Philippines who is single with a kid and has no money for college over there. Right away, I sent her money to go so she could have a better future. It was a very good feeling that I could make her happy, and nothing else mattered but that, because seeing her happy makes my day special.

Of course I have, but then I realized that I was not happy. You should be #1 in your book! Most times, the people you try to make happy are happy without you or not totally dependant upon how you make them feel.

yep, but i'm over it now! i figured out that most people aren't willing to see that as the gift that it is and will take advantage of it and eventually what you end up doing is living for someone else and then before you know it you start wanting yourself back, so while it is an amazing feeling you must be careful how far you go with it..after all that person fell in love (hopefully) with YOU so if you lose you then the one they love has disappeared. all things in moderation.

Sure, and I have done it, but usually feel hollow, and lacking afterwards. I LOVE people, and love helping them ,but I DO NOT like being used. People will USE you if you allow them to, so I have to be careful there. My own happiness is worth something too.

my baby wanted a louis vuitton purse
so i had a dilemna pay the rent or buy the purse
