What do you enjoy/hate the most about your job ???

DWI enforcement was my favorite part of the job. I had a real knack for it and that was one area I really felt like I was making a difference. If I could get them off the road for at least the night, I might save one innocent life.

I'm not a police officer but i do work in the jail. I put up with the crap the police drop off. What i like most is helping out the juveniles i watch over change their life around. What i hate the most is watching juveniles in the jail and returning all the time. Oh and what the county calls a pay check.

I was an officer years ago, 15 to be exact, and what I disliked most about my job was the way so many people would deny any responsibility for their actions. They felt justified in doing wrong, and felt violated when a warrant was served, and they were taken out of their homes or place of employment. When I joined a juvenile narcotics task squad, my main dislike was the parents denying any wrong doing when their child was brought home at 3 or 4 am, being charged with drug dealing or gang related charges. So my main dislike would be pretty much the same in both cases. The claims of righteousness, being yelled and screamed out by those who's actions are so blatantly ignorant.

What I enjoy the most about my job is the variety of the work, and the flexible hours. I love working plain clothes and sneaking around catching dirt bags that think they are getting by with crimes. I also enjoy working with different agencies and meeting other officers.

What I hate... wow... the bureaucracy, mickey mouse bull sh*t from the supervisors, the people that hate the police for no legitimate reason, having to deal with stupid people that think you have nothing better to do, the pay.

The flexible schedule means so much to me that I'm willing to deal with all that I hate.

Hey there's an easy question. Three types of people that I dislike, in no particular order: 1) Drunks, 2) Liars, 3) Road-side lawyers.

What I enjoy most about the job is helping people. The stories I could tell.. =)

Lolz not in police but if I was I would love beating up the bad guys and car chases if that actually happens …and oh yea wearing the blue uniform that would be fun but honestly I’d be too scared coming so close to people who don’t respect the law....so i dont think i could ever do it just not that strong :)...

I enjoyed being able to help people. The funnist thing that ever happened was when I was doing a traffic stop outside of a college faternity one day, as I pulled over the car, they blasted over the speakers that "bad boy bad boy" song,

I love the excitment of getting into foot/vehicle pursuits along with assisting the public what i hate about it is when my day of desk duty comes up

So much for respect, they want it, now they do this? How can you respect a man in uniform who does not respect you even enough to knock?
so now the government can steal your home and break into it legally.
