Jehovah's Witnesses expect hostility during their field ministry. After all, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) “Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Tell them that they do not seem very enthusiastic for people who believe they are going to live forever.
They get paid nothing. It's a good thing. If they got paid they would all have gotten their *** fired a long time ago just as in any corporation.
The Watchtower bible and Tract Society is in it for the money and there is a lot of money. Far more than they pretend.
The number of books they sell would make James Michner jealous Dan Brown is a piker. They sell 40-50 million books a month. That is why they keep coming up with more books. LIFE Magazine would be cheap if they had slave to produce the magazine.

This happened when some Mormons can knocking at my door. It's not the same, i know, but it's a similar situation.
Some mormons knocked at my door asking if I had accepted Jesus and had I read the book of mormon and gave me a picture of Jesus. I told them that Jesus and I were really close and we hung out all the time and that I could even get them his autograph. I closed the door saying I'd be right back and wrote on the picture "Keep it real! love, Jesus" with a sharpie. Then i went back out there and gave it to them. They just looked at me like they were really hurt and walked away. I realize now that that was kind of mean, but I was only 19 at the time, so I thought it was funny. I've never had anyone else try to convert me at my house again, though.

Well, since I'm not a Christian, I don't behave in a "Christian-like manner" It's a bit silly to presume that everyone is a Christian. What the heck does that mean, anyhow? You don't have to be a Christian to be nice...and not all Christians are nice people.
I tell them that I am not interested, thank you. And I close the door. Simple as that.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Christ began his invisible reign as king in 1914. They believe that soon the forces of good, led by Christ, will defeat the forces of evil, led by Satan, at the battle of Armageddon. Thereafter Christ will rule the earth for a thousand years. During this millennium the dead will rise again, and all people will have a second opportunity to achieve salvation. At the end of the millennium Satan will return to earth, and he and those who support him will finally be destroyed. A perfect humankind will then enjoy eternal life on earth.

I already know that it's them when they knock or ring the bell (I either look through the peep hole or use the "listen" button and I could tell) so I don't answer. They slide pamphlets through the side of my door and it's a bit scary/disturbing watching it happen. My dog barks at it.
We once had neighbors that were Jehovah's Witnesses. One day, their two young sons were out by themselves and my dad put holy water on one of the boys' forehead. The other one ran away, lol.

Jesus for told for our day this work:" The Good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all nations; then the end will come." Matthew 24:14
Jehovah's Witnesses believe in their hearts that they are carrying out what Jesus asked all his followers to do at Acts 20:20-21 also Acts 5:42.. They go door to door out of Love for God, Jesus and their neighbors. They know that they are going to receive alot of rejection and opposition. After all Jesus warned them..."A slave is not greater than his master, they persecuted me, they will persecute you also..." yet their are some who listen and have joined in this work as one of them. If you don't want to talk to them just simply tell them. Too many people are quick to judge without proper understanding...

Treat them with hospitality--they've been told Christians are evil and hated them. My mother-in-law did that to Jehovah Witnesses knocking on her door during the day. I did the same to Mormons I met on the streets.

First and foremost I let God's wisdom and love guide me in what to say or do. On the few occasions I have had a discussion with them I just talked about how awesome it is to have our Lord Jesus in my life and what He has done for me. I get the feeling that they weren't expecting this and that it did more good than just having a lengthy debate over what we both think the Bible is really saying about Jesus.
Jesus is God and He can't not be because how else would He take away the sins???

Treat them with love and respect. Gently sit down with them and share your faith with them in such a way that will not shove it down their throats. Allow God to open the door and make most of any opportunity to witness to someone of a different faith.

I try to discuss the Buddha with them, but they seem singularly disinterested.
The worst thing I've done is flashed them when I came dripping wet down three flights of stairs in 20 degree weather and they kept me talking for 3 minutes despite my protestations. I didn't want to just slam the door on them.
