I had major "doubts" about Christianity from puberty and never returned. Many years later I discovered Judaism. My only regret is that I lost all those years in between. You won't learn anything about Judaism in a church!

On an almost daily basis I question something in my religious belief system. Often without good reason, other than the very real suspicion that what I have been taught, learned, read, believed in the past has often been in error upon close examination of the Scriptures. The failure of most to be like the Bereans and going to the Scripture to see if those things they heard are true or not is the cause of the luke-warm, apostate Christendom we see today. My spiritual path, if re-traced and charted would look like the Dow Jones stock chart-up, down, up, down, high, low, buy, sell, new low, new high, etc. But, just like Paul, I keep pressing toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I’m hopeful that I am closer to that prize than I ever have been, but still far enough way to keep me focused, diligent and faithful. See my question at http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnpP5mXE0o1hBQN9mO.yJibsy6IX?qid=20060618110950AAIZdvj regarding a good book to read if you really want to question the apostate, luke-warm Christianity in which you may be a part.

i'm a black sheep at the same time as it is composed of religion. So... A. I chosen my idea gadget in accordance to my personal personal studies. i replaced into raised in a liberal Catholic relations. We were never compelled to stay in the Catholic church. i finished going to church because I disagreed with many of the failings that the Bible stated, and at the same time as i replaced into youthful, I had an intensive to-death adventure that made me commence to imagine in yet otherwise. I study by the Bible, and somewhat than examining it actually, I interpreted it spiritually. In different words, I known that express aspects of the Bible were myths and parables. different aspects of the Bible desire to be interpreted in yet otherwise with a view to make sense. and that i also believe that express aspects of the Bible were fabricated or misinterpreted at the same time as they were written, ensuing in a mass of contradiction. in reality, i'm religious, yet i'm no longer non secular, and that i settle for most clinical theories as valid like the tremendous Bang and evolution. And it really is conceivable to make those theories coincide with faith if non secular texts are not interpreted actually. B. i don't think of my faith is "proper". i think that maximum religions are diverse interpretations of a similar deity. it really is why there are distinctive parallels between diverse faiths. and not merely the Abrahamic ones. So. i does no longer recommend that you retain on with my certain deity, which occurs to be the Christian God. in case you've been searching to take up a faith, all i'd say is to detect a idea you want, locate one which works for you, and stick with it.

I was raised Roman Catholic, therefore I have lived my entire live feeling that people were judging me based on my religion. On the same note, every rude remark made me want to educate myself more so I could defend my religion. Growing up I honestly spent more time defending my religion than having one, and began to doubt myself, God, and beliefs. When a good friend of mine died at the age of 19, I hated God so much I could not bring myself to go to church. I did not attend church for 2 years. A few months ago, I was having a discussion with a friend of mine, and she convinced me to go to sunday mass. I decided that having God in my life was something that I wanted. I thought about the sacrifice he made for us on the cross, and throughout his whole life, and after alot of praying realized that death is not a bad thing. God takes people who are suffering, (i.e. my friend) and brings them to live an eternal life in heaven. All the suffering we endure on this earth, is only to prepare us for our afterlife.

Yes, I thought that I made wrong decisions about God. It actually turned out that I was wrong and that God is real and right. The word of God is true and right about us. So, Pick up a bible and read it, seek God and search him. You'll find peace and most of all salvation. He save me from myself and I have Peace within.

I don't think of myself as being religious.I'm spiritual and don't believe in man changing their laws in their religion. That's not the word of God to me.I also don't believe I need to talk to a human to get through to God.I can talk and pray to God all by myself, one on one.
