equvilant but a different subject, sum places wud accept u, others wud ask 4 a qualification in actual child studies/care but the best course 4 child care at level 3 is the CACHE diploma in child care and education

Hi,
care means the care of adults, usually group-specific, eg the elderly or special needs.
NVQ level 3 in childcare is specifically children.
If you're thinking of working with children you can do the nvq 3 on the job whilst working. Other options are the BTEC national diploma in childcare, BTEC national diploma early years (which i did). These are equivalent to the NVQ level 3 but you'd be at college either full or part time. The BTEC also means you can be a teaching assistant at level 4 so i'd go for that one!

i am doing an nvq level 3 in child care at the moment and it is very confusing no they are not the same nvq level 3 in care is adult hope that this helps.

It's the same level if that's what you mean, but you couldn't use each for the other because of the specifics relevant to each. Care is generally adults so obviously there are a number of differences.
