Yes, the Navy would move your wife to your duty station and even help her find a job. They might not be able to move her right away, but they would eventually.
The Nevy does such sometimes. You get very little sleep, work long hours and get paid crap. I wish I could attach a "but...." to that, but I cant think of a good one. ummmm, They will pay for college when you are done? I guess thats a good thing.
My boyfriend is in the Navy and his little sister is in the Air Force. Honestly, she seems happier with her choice. The Air Force seems, I dont know, cushier. You sleep more and deal with less BS. In the Navy there is ALOT of BS.
But, I have known sailors who truly enjoyed their time in the Navy. Its up to you. Its your choice and your life.
Good luck to you.

I did 6 and a half years in the Navy nuclear power program as an MM. The job can wear you down sometimes and the hours can be taxing, but I've never had the honor of working with a better group of people and I was never broke.
The Navy will move you and your wife from base to base. What I've seen of enlisted housing isn't too bad.
Like any job, you get out what you put in. I got some primo duty stations in San Diego and Pearl Harbor. I did 2 deployments, one 6 months and one 3 months. I'm going to college now on the GI Bill. I would definitely do it all over again, knowing what I know now.

I was in the Navy for 24 years. Out of that time, there may have been 6 month that were not too good, but 99% was great. I was a photographer and specialized in film and television production. If you can get into a rating (job) that you like, you will love it. Just like any other job....if you don't do something you enjoy, you won't be happy. Yes, they will move you, your family, and your household. Air Force? Nah, Navy rules. Talk to your local recruiter......they can tell you more.

As with all services, the Navy is only what you want it to be. The major difference between the Navy and the other services is that the Navy is charged with protecting our national security by land sea and air. As for which service is best or worst, I am retired from the Navy and I am proud of my contributions to this country's outstanding leadership throughout the world. I personally recommend the Navy for all of our young men and women. Finally, make sure that you take advantage of every opportunity to improve yourself through the fantastic education programs.

Yes you wife can move with. So can the things in your house in one car. It will be hard when you go out to sea. But it really isn't that bad. My husband is been in for 3 years now. Most the time when you go out for several months at a time. Then your ship stays in port for a couple months. If they go out it is only for like a week or two. It does get hard out at sea. Because you are away from you family and you work really long hours. But the up side is after sea duty there is shore duty. Were most the time you will be home everynight. It has it's up and downs.

As with anything, the Navy is what YOU make of it. I looked at it as a great opportunity to pay for my education, visit places I'd never have gone and make wonderful friends...even met my husband while in the Navy. It really depends on what your expectations are going in...if you're open and willing to try new things, you'll enjoy it.
Yes, your wife will move with you wherever you go unless you opt for an unaccompanied tour somewhere.

its ok but i was retired from the army.after you get done with basic and learn a job then you go to your duty station but anyone can be placed aboard a ship for a year.your wife wont be able to stay with you on a ship and i wouldnt even consider her moving to a navy base either.all military men are womanizers and thety will flirt with your wife and make you mad and then you may start a fight causing more troubles.the best duty and better pay and promotions are better on a ship..leave the wife where she is and you can get money for about anything. you can go to school after your basic and ait if all is the same.

It really depends on what you want to do. Chances are in the Air Force you'll be stationed on land in the US, and you can bring your wife, but certain careers (like nuclear technician) are usually naval only. Also, seasickness should probably play a role in your decision. Air force, your wife can move with you, navy, possibly, though maybe not.

Hey man, I spent 5 years in the Navy on a sub in Groton, CT. I also spent another 5 years in the Army (infantry with a year in Iraq) and I can honestly say that it's not the branch, it's what you expect to get out of it.
If you honestly think it'll be easy you'll spend your time bitching about how unfair it is and how "I didn't sign up for that... ", "Or that wasn't in my contract..." My only advice is expect to get fed, paid, and clothed. Everything on top of that is gravy. If you plan on making the best of whatever happens to you then you are all set. As I like to say, it's not the hand of cards you are dealt, rather how you choose to play them.
