I am curious as to why all these people said NO. So my question to them is "why not?"
Nobody said be disrespectful and come as if you were in a club but, i feel there are several ways to show interest in another church member that does not desicrate the sanctity of the Lord'S House that you are standing in.
If its not "OK" then how or why do churches have "singles functions" AT THE CHURCH!!! Nothing but a bunch of flirting and shooting interest going on.
Do u people actually THINK b4 u answer these questions???!!

Define "hit on". To be completely honest, a church is a great place to meet people with a strong moral and family sense, and this should not be completely disregarded out of hand. That being said, your typical approach for meeting girls at a bar should be left at the door in a house of worship. However, it's well within proper boundaries to meet members of the opposite sex in church, to talk to them, see what they're like, maybe even ask them out for dinner sometime. A great time for this is if your church has some sort of a social gathering either after the service or as a periodic function outside of church. Although it does take a bit more work to meet women where you worship, it may be well worth it.

If your talking about hitting a girl, no never. If your talking about asking a girl out, at least wait until after the service is over or at a church sponsored event like a dance or youth meeting. If there is a coffee clutch after that is OK. Before or after a bible group is OK too, but never during. This is per my daughter who is very active in her church.

ABSOLUTELY. This is why people want to go to church. to meet decent people of their own faith, get married and have children. It is the very best way to get accepted by her parents too. It is so much better than going to a bar. go for it unashamedly. it is a very common and expected social practice. Where betetr? Jail?
Ha Ha
When I was young dude in the military and always in stange towns I always went to church and almost always scored.
(never wore the uniform) Great pick-up spot as well as place to meet serious prospects for future relationships.

as long as its not like a perverted kind of hit on a girl, but if you want to like ask her out than go ahead and do it, i would rather have a boy from church than a boy from school, then you both have the same relign and there is no fighting about that lol

It would be okay to follow her out after services are finished. If you would be close enough to ask during services then you are close enough to follow. If she os religious than she may be turned off that you would ask during services, or maybe you could ask her to go for coffee right when you stand up if you want the comfort of being in a crowd this would be acceptable
