They do it because they can. They get a thrill out of physical domination. They think they know better than you do about what you want and what you don't want.
I don't know who this person is to you, if you have a choice to be in their presence or not, but if this behavior occurs more than you can bear, you need to avoid the person, or if you can't avoid him, get help from someone that you trust and has some influence with the perpetrator.
Have courage. These types of men will respect a person demanding their feelings be know and respected or if he is not so caring, he will avoid you because you are too high maintence in his opinion. Either way your courage will get the result you desire.
