Im an unsigned singer and i call my self with a nick name i always liked and had. Recently i discovered that there are other unsigned artists out there with the same name. What should i do? Should i just ignore this or what do you think?

Are you well known in your area by your nickname? Also, do you have things about you that keep you different than the others with the same name? Originality is the key. If not to both questions, then I'd think of something different.

It depends on whether your nick name is a common one used by people in general or if its a word that is used extensively in the media. I once knew a female entertainer who learned the word "diva" and decided that she wanted to make that her stage name. If course about 900 other women thought the same thing which made it next to impossible to trademark the name. In a case that is similar to this, you really have nothing to be concerned about.
