I ask this question because i have 2 year old twins a boy and a girl. I never noticed how many twins there were until i had them. I also seemed to notice that most twins seem to be boys, then mixed, and i rarely see sets of girls. My twins are also fraternal, i rarely see identical. I wanted to know what other people had noticed.

my older brothers are fraternal twins, and, my family is friends with some one that has frtenal boy/girl twins. i babysit a set of identicle 2 year old boys.and i've known 3 sets of girl twins, 2 identicle and 1 fraternal.

I'm not sure about the statistics on regular twins and I've never really paid attention myself, but the rarest form of twins appears to be Heteropaternal Superfecundation. Fraternal twins by two different fathers. Now that is quite bizarre...

Well, I've seen identical boys and girls, but only fraternal boys and fraternal brothers and sisters. Never have I seen a set of fraternal sisters...other than Mary Kate and Ashley lol

I have 13 month boy/girl twins. They are awsome. I hate getting the question if they are identical or not? (Can't happen) Don't get it much anymore though.

my x-sis in law could not concieve. her and her husband paid so much money to have fertility treatment. 2 times it failed. on the 3rd time she gave birth to twins a boy and a girl. 18 months after she gave bith. she fell pregnant automaticaly and gave birth to another set of twins this time a set of boys. and they are all wonderful.
