Having a 'day' celebrated for 'each parent' is sufficient enough to express how much their children appreciate and love them. To have a 'parents day' is already redundant and would somehow lessen the impact of each parent's importance as a father and mother.

But you know what? There is nothing wrong with having 'parents day'. Some church organizations would 'make up' their own 'parents day' celebration to recognize the importance of both parents to their kids' lives.

Well... You have the parents separate like mothers and fathers day. So you could not have a parents day both together as it would not be right!

That would leave EVERYTHING up to the little kids. You need at least one parent to is NOT being celebrated to help the kids plan and dote on the parent being celebrated.
