OK, let's estimate you're flying from Belgium: it can be around 45 minutes real flying, but mostly the timetables says something around 1h20 between departure and arrival.
Count check-in and security procedure, and don't forget your pre- and post-travel (to and from the airport)...

A good alternative is the Eurostar train: from Brussels to London in 2h15, but you're direct in the center!

From your profile, looks like you're flying from Belguim? About 5 or 6 years ago I flew from London to Paris and it only took about 45 minutes. From Belguim, I imagine it wouldn't be much different, maybe an hour or maybe 45 minutes?

It depends where you're flying from. I flew to Heathrow from D.C. (Dulles) and it took me about 8 hours, but different airlines have different times sometimes. I flew Virgin Atlantic.
