No, exercise alone won't do it. People have tried and ended up disappointed. It has to be a combo of exercise and calorie control, and top speed in a healthfu approach to losing pounds is said by professionals to be about 2 pounds per week. There's alot of overweight guys out there that exercise heavily - even for instance football players - but are still overweight because after the workout and/or game, they consume alot of food and an exceptionally high amount of calories, therefore neutralizing the weight loss benefits of the exercise.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Sure you can lose weight with exercise - primarily with high intensity cardio (aerobics) but you also have to balance your program out with a proper diet. If you exercise, but then afterward reward yourself with a 4X4 from In-n-Out and a large milkshake and fries and after that a box of twinkies and a few candy bars and pizza at lunch time - you probably won't notice much of a weight loss. But you will notice a weight gain! It also depends on what you are trying to do with your body. Are you trying to lose weight but gain muscle mass? You will need a lot of protein and water in your diet to gain and maintain muscle. But no, exercise alone will not give you the best results. You need a good diet along with your exercise routine.

It possible to lose weight that way, but be careful. Too much physical activity can harm your body if its not in shape. Its better to talk to you doctor about whats right for your weight loss goals. He/she will suggest a good balance of exercise and improving your diet. Crash diets almost never work, and when they do, as soon as its over, or you get tired of exercising, the weight will come back.

No matter what you choose to do, be safe and smart.

Yes, but not if you're eating McDonald's 3 times a day, because then you're just adding the weight back on that you just spent the time exercising off. Keep your appetite and what you eat in check.

It can help, but the answer would be "it depends."
If you still are not burning more calories than you take in you will continue to gain weight.
But exercising will help you burn more calories. The more calories you burn, the better chance your intake will be less than what you burn.
But the best way to lose weight (and stay in good shape) is to watch overall caloric intake in addition to exercizing.

the more you exercise the least you have to worry about your diet but still you got to have some comon sence and stay away from a few non-healthy foods.
lots and lots of cardio is the key to losing weight.

Yes, but make sure that it is mostly cardiovascular rather then lifting weights. Although, you should try to at least lower your calorie intake. Even a 10% drop will increase your results dramatically.

Not really. You need to eat healthy also. Watching your calorie intake is key in losing weight.
