Why do I have to pay taxes so that illegal immigrant's children get to go to school to become bi-linguel while my children do not? I asked if my children and I could sit in on the FREE classes (that are taught in our children's public school) (Free to illegals that is) that teach English to Spanish speakers, so that we could learn Spanish so that it would be a fair opportunity in my kids getting a job. I was told NO. I wouold have to find some classes elsewhere like the college (AND PAY FOR IT) BUT my kids are only 7 and 14! Besides that the college doesn't teach THAT lind of Spanish that the illegals speak. So why am I paying for their free English classes?

illegal alien's children go to school so they can learn english and help their parents translate when applying for free housing, free healthcare, WIC, oh and forge government documents, etc.

Sorry, but you can't have it all. Immigrants come to this country and some don't speak English and rather that have a bunch of people not speaking English, the government decided to have free classes for them.
It sounds as if you are very ungrateful for all the benefits and opportunities that you do have and being very selfish about what someone else is getting. That is very petty.
Would you like to switch places with an immigrant (illegal or not) and live in their shoes because you think that they get so many free services. I think that you should be grateful that you probably could pay a few bucks a week to go to your local community center to learn Spanish. Not to cast stereotypes on anyone, but some come to this country, live in a two room house with 16 other people and work all day in the fields to make a living. They still have to pay to get a college education if they chose to do so. They are not getting a free ride on life in general.
Right now, you are just sounding like a spoiled brat.

Because their parents teach them the other language. You also can learn Spanish and teach them for free as well. Havent you heard of all these people complaining that people dont learn English! When they do, people like you get mad. Plus Ilegal immigrants pay the same taxes you do (if not more, because they cannot get a tax return)! Get to know someone who speaks Spanish and have a swap of the minds, have your child help them learn English and them help your child learn Spanish.

Hey thats not all. You get to pay taxes that pay the teachers who are being forced to take 300 hours of ESL (English as a Second Language) training at our expense, so they can teach the illegals and their families to speak and read english enough to understand they are not supposed to be here. Or how to stay here and work the system. I'm not sure why actually. Sorry..

bull's eye! you made a very good point. it is about time that we put a stop to this insanity. our children (Americans) are the future of this country. the illegal alien's children have no right to a free education and healthcare. if those illegal children wants to go to school here in the US the parents should get a "Student Visa" for their children and pay for the high tuition fee. why do we have to pay for their education while our children wait in overfilled classrooms being uncomfortable to cater to their children. those illegal children should be kicked out of our schools.

My friend, it's called a "double standard." And until the government get of their butts and boots all of the illegals out of the country it will always be there. I am certain that if we went down to Mexico and demanded that President Fox teach us all Spanish they'd laugh in our faces....

Becasuse America does not have an official language. If they are not taught it would be "discrimination against minorities". I say send them all back
