If it is a permanent change of station (PCS) move with an accompanied tour (meaning family is allowed), then the military will pay for the shipment of your personal household goods and vehicle.

However, if your husband is on an unaccompanied tour, you'll need to verify that your husband will be allowed to live off-base with you long before you make plans for shipping your personal items. Depending on your location in the U.S., shipments overseas could take anywhere from 1-2 months.

If the military is not covering the cost for the move, you'll have to contact a worldwide container shipping/moving company. The particular branch of the military your husband is affiliated with should be able to give you contact numbers and not let you go into this move blindly. Good luck!

If you are being assigned there with an "accompanied tour" the US military will pay everything. If you are going on a non-accompanied, then you have to fund your own travel and shipping. I would suggest leaving as much as you can at home because you will have to also fund your return. Things in Korea are relatively cheap so buying things there shouldnt be too bad.
