Yes, it does depend on your job(afsc), but there are many opportunities to travel. I am in the Air Force and do enjoy it. I would join the Air Force, because you are not stuck on a ship for over six months, seasickness, and if you are a straight male the Air Force does have more women serving. The Air Force gets better funding than the other branches, we have better bases, better medical facilities, etc. If you are to join and looking to travel, ask the recruiter what jobs can you travel a lot with...GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

I have stepped foot on every continent including antarctica. I am Air Force and have been for 15 years. Travel is a fact of life in the Air Force.

In the air force you would travell more and get more free time...that is if you become a fighter pilot...fighter pilots gets alot of free time because they have a tiring job sit an a cramp cockpit all squished up for hours on in ... so the air force lets their F.P. get out and loosen up...u cant just step put of a fighter jet and stretch...that is alot of FP are in Europe Japan, hawaii and all that and that is if you are stationed on land not on a air craft carrier. on land u get to go to the Officers club and drink spend sometime outside the gates and u have to make it onto the premises by the curfew they set... so that u wont start a riot or anything

The answer is yes, maybe. What are your definitions of travel?

Both branches offer a great way to see the world. What you need to ask is how much traveling do you want to do?

Go to each branch and ask questions.
How long is an average overseas/stateside assignment?
If I find a place I would like to stay for a longer period of time, can I extend my tour of duty? (what are the determing factors?)
How does the career field I am planning on entering affect my availability for overseas/stateside assignments?

The more questions you ask the better you will be informed, and asking the questions before you go into military service is better than waiting until you ship out. Good Luck.

Well lets just say Sheyma,Alaska is nice for the 2nd to last Aluetian Island.....90men no woman 1 year Hardship Tour

haha yeah if you like traveling ot iraq every 6 months like some career fields do in the AF. If you joined I would stay away from security forces and trans. Be a menber of a flight crew or aircraft maintenance they do all the traveling.

Depending on your job, you may deploy a lot. No one deploys to resort towns though.
