103 my great grandma the funny thing was she was the typical person you would have thought would have died at 50.
She drank, chewed tobacco, ate the typical fatty southern foods. So it goes to show the Dr arent always right.

My great grandmother lived to be 109, she died in 1989.

I really don't know what her "secret" to longevity was, if there was any. I do know this, she was full-blood native American.

The women in my family live to be about 100 or more. So maybe it's genetics lol.

My husband's great grandma lived to be 100, as well.

PS- gemthewitch: OMG, that's so funny. Speak of the Devil, (no pun intended LOL) but my great grandmother was also a Southern Baptist & so is my mother LMAO! And they DO say the awfullest things about ppl!

My husband's grandfather is 91. Up until 2 years ago he swam every day, golfed, still volunteered and stuff. He qui smoking back in the 70s, he drank in moderation, he exercised, and had an atrocious diet. But he ate a lot of liver and onions.

There's also one of my great aunts. She's in her 80s. She hasn't seen a doctor in like 50 years. She takes about 40 pils every day - vitamins, mineral supplements, etc. She eats junk food every night and only drinks coffee and orange pop.

I am nearly 30. I exercise, try to eat healthy, I don't smoke, I only drink red wine occasionally, and keep hydrated. I will probably die in 20 years.

My great great grandma, she was 103 years old when she passed away. I was 15. She was of Mexican/ native descent. The other women of my family say it is a curse, that all the women of my family will live way passed their loved ones. I don't know how true that is, but my great grandma is still alive,as well as all the women on my mother's side of the family.

My Great Uncle was 99 and he said his secret was always doing what he morally felt was right, never doing anything he would regret and living each day like it was his last. He also never put anything "extra" on food that it didn't need for cooking. He never drank alcohol in his whole life and he never smoked.

I have known several ladies who lived into their late nineties. Their secret was that they lived simple lives and did a lot of physical work.

my great-grandmother's friends lived into their 80's and 90's and I think it was pure meanness than did it.

You ever sat in a room with 25 elderly Southern Baptist women? The awful things they'd say about people, then excuse with "bless their heart"..... my GOD!
