Usually, the mother will wean them at about 6 weeks. But apparently your cat still enjoys having her babies around. Yes, go ahead and have her spayed. She can get pregnant while she is still nursing her kittens. Spaying will stop her milk production, so you will have solved two problems. The kittens will lose interest when they stop getting any milk. Good luck!

ask the vet that is going to spay your cat. Also, once the kitties are away from mom, they will just eat regular food and not hers. Do not try to give them regular milk. Cats are lactose intolerant...if you want to feed them some milk you can buy a certain kind at the store that is meant for cats. And don't worry, nature will take its course. They won't feed off mom forever.

She certainly can be spayed while feeding kits, especially older ones. Dont try to stop her feeding them, 'cos mama knows best. I had a cat who was still feeding her daughter when the daughter had kittens(7 months old; she caught me out!) Mother cat would lie there feeding her daughter and her daughters kittens would be feeding from both of them- made a gorgeous photo!!

whenever you see her feeding them just pull them apart from the mother because the longer you let the kittens milk than the longer it takes the mother to stop producing milk

Idiot!! You don't need to do anything. The mother will stop feeding them when it's time. Don't worry about it. (What's the problem, anyway??) Sheesh.
