well, the "worth drinking" part is the hardest to fulfill. If you want to make your own alcohol, on a tight budget... I make tomato wine... you can substitute a fruit juice.... get one bottle of tomato juice, one pack of yeast, about 4 or 5 cups of sugar, put them all into a plastic jug, poke breathing holes in the lid, and set it someplace warm, but not in direct sunlight, for about 3 days. It's cool to watch the foam and bubbles while it ferments, then, strain, ice and drink (i like to add louisianna hot sauce and celery, like a bloody mary). I have done the same with potatoes. Cut them up small, and put them in the jug with water and sugar and yeast. That'll tear your head off tho, so be careful!

The easiest way is the Greek way.
Get some grapes squas them. The liquid that is extracted you can make it into wine. The mash that is left destill it twice.Depending on the seeds you will put inside during the second destillation you will get ouzo or tsipouro. You can put cardamon, mastic, ginger, cinnamon and many other herbs for taste and perfume. For ouzo you should use aniseed.
PS. In some countries producing homemade alcohol is illegal. In Greece since it is a very long tradition and for these drinks you do not need any extra alcohol to produce them, is not. Check with the local laws.

Sake! I have tried everything under the sun at one point or another but the other night I decided to give Sake another try and it was incredible. I truly suggest a brand called "Momokawa" it is Junmai Ginjo Sake and 14.8% alcohol. That sounds like it has a bite but it does not at all! It tastes like water with a pinch of melon. I love the powerful drinks and if you like to taste your booze then I suggest getting a bottle of Sailor Jerry. Better than Captain Morgan in taste (chase or mix with Diet Pepsi if you need to) and it is 90 proof.

If you're over 21, brew your own beer. Check online for a local homebrew store. They usually have classes on how to do it. You can also pick up books on homebrewing by Michael Jackson (not THAT Michael Jackson!). His books start with beer, but also explain making your own wine, mead and soda, especially root beer.
The yield is generally about 60 bottles of beer, and after your initial equipment purchase, it's about 1/4 of the price of store-bought beer.

you must follow this instruction completely or it won't work.
Go to the store and buy some. I tried this and was amazed at how well it worked - the first time and every time after.
