Yes goto any computer that has windows 95/98/ME and goto the C drive and open the windows directory. there you will find cd player.exe. just copy it to a stiffy and copy it back to xp's windows directory (in system32 on windows 2000). Create a shorcut on your desktop.

Here is the dangerous part
Okay i took it out because it was very long. There is a way you can add cdplayer to the registry so that it will be an option for playing cd's always but it very complicated.

This is actually my favorite application form the old windows operating systems. There are no bells and whistles, it just plays cd's and it uses almost no resources. It is a pity that Microsoft did not include it in windows XP instead it opted for Windows media player for cd's. If you search around the net you can find some simple cd players which work similarly to cdplayer if you don't want to do anything which might be illegal.

From any Windows 95, 98 or ME PC. It is a single exe file. Copy to your XP PC and it will work.
