I recently got a Lab puppy just under 3mths of age. But she acts like my great dane. All of my friends comment that she is the most mellow Lab puppy they have ever seen. In case you didnt know Great Danes are known for being mellow. I am curious to know if I just got a mellow Lab or if she is picking up mannerisms from my dane. Does anyone know anything about this, or could offer an explanation for this annomally?

My Great Dane is 2.5 years old. I really dont have problems with the puppy chewing but I have some tasty chew bones available. and I dont let her out of my sight generally so if she tries to chew I stop her.

You might simply have a mellow lab on your hands. Dogs are impacted by their environment heavily - so there's always the possibility of the imprint principle. Your great dane should be instrumental in teaching your lab manners, potty training, house rules and so forth. You are blessed!!

you might want to take her to the veternarian and ask, possibly they would know more about this topic. I love lab puppies but usually it is hard for them to be mellow they are usually eating the plants, chewing on shoes, chewing on sunglasses and shredding the phone book.

at that age your puppy is very impressionable so she will surley try to emulate the alpha dog in your house....just wondering how old is your dane?
